Ford Pier:
Release; Full Length Album – “Meconium”

Ford Pier is fairly well known to Canadian audiences as the sprightly moppet playing keyboards for such popular and diverse acts as Roots Roundup, Jr. Gone Wild, Tankhog and Veda Hille, as well as maintaining chores on a couple of instruments for the Showbusiness Giants. Most recently seen playing guitar for D.O.A. and organ with the Tonics, Ford still finds the time to pursue his many interests and hobbies, like, for example his debut solo album, “Meconium”! Recorded in Victoria, B.C., with fellow Showbusiness Giant, Scott Henderson (also of Hissanol) the album showcases some 15 original compositions in wildly varying styles, invoking all the above mentioned groups separately, at once, and not at all. Ford plays all the instruments, and lyrically, he’ll tackle the Big Questions and be man enough to come up with the wrong answers.

Saddlesores:
Release: Full Length Album- “LoveCursed”

The Saddlesores do to pre-millennium safe and predictable music what the Stray Cats did to eighties pop – they pistol-whip the hell out of it. The Saddlesores CD, LoveCursed, is proof of a y’alternative sound all their own. “LoveCursed” consists of eleven new songs, recorded / mixed / mastered by Marc L’Esperance (Veda Hille, Ray Condo, Bughouse 5) at Lemonloaf Studios. Key tracks include first single “Supermodel Blues”, “Gasoline” and the steamy “Pearly Fits”.

Winners of Discorders/ Citr ShinDig! 96 competition and semi-finalists in 1997 CFOX’s DemoListen Derby and P.S. Films Dreamseekers Battle-of-the-Bands 98 – bandleader and songwriter – Pinto Cholo views their art of music making as “ We have no tradition. We pretty much bastardize everything that comes our way. I love the energy and passion of rock and the serenity of country. I like to think of us doing to country music what AC/DC did to the blues.”

Psychomania:
Release: Full Length Album – “Rebel Set”
Release: Limited Edition Vinyl E.p. – “Back in the Jungle”

Now this is pure pop for Punks – “The Rebel Set” the twelve-song release from Canada’s most promising young pen-slinger, Marc Godfrey, under operation name Psychomania. An album of ultra-cool that shreds light unto the dysfunctional psyche of generation X thru a breathtaking combination of B-Movie Lounge – A – Billy and a healthy dose of Replacements and melodic early Punk. The Psychomania sound is revamped Rock’n’Roll that has something to say to the listener.
